Mac OS Running on Surface Thanks to Windows RT Jailbreak

The Microsoft Surface with Windows RT has just been jailbroken. By exploiting a setting in the OS, a jailbreak has been released that simply needs to be run every time you boot your Surface RT. Once jailbroken, you have the ability to run ARM-based desktop apps and you are no longer limited to using new Windows 8-style applications only.

Shortly after the Surface RT’s jailbreak was released, a photo was uploaded to Twitter of a Surface RT running an early build of Mac OS X Server which was given the codename Apple “Rhapsody”. Not much information was released about the hack so far, but the jailbreak community is hoping that  the creator of the hack (@stroughtonsmith) releases a tutorial in the future.
