ASUS has announced MeMo Pad, a new tablet that would be great for anyone on a budget or doesn't have enough money to buy one of the more expensive ones on the market right now. This tablet will be launching this month in the U.S. for $149.
The new MeMO Pad comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean running on it and features a 7-inch display with a 1024 x 600-pixel resolution, 1 GB of RAM, 8GB or 16GB of storage, 5GB of ASUS WebStorage and more.
The specs might be a bit low in comparison to other, more expensive Android Tablets on the market, but that's not necessarily a bad thing as it's targeted at emerging markets, where price is more important than power.
The tablet will be available directly from ASUS and in selected markets from authorized ASUS resellers The MeMo Pad will be available in white, gray and pink It is planned for the MeMo Pad to be launched this January at a price tag of $149
